High-energy keynotes for educators
Darryl helps teachers, leaders, and the people who support them take action through fear and uncertainty. Every keynote is built from more than 75,000 written fears.

Uncertainty is the new normal

You can't control all of it.
You can change what fear does to your people.
His message was not only inspiring but also practical. I walked away with ideas I can actually apply.

What educators wrote on their cards
These are real fears from real rooms, shared without names. Every keynote starts here.

I fear vulnerability and putting myself out there when I don't know the outcome.

What the
experience looks like
This isn't a sit-and-listen PD. Here's how it works, from the weeks before to the days after.

Before the day
Your people share their fears anonymously, and the talk is built around what they wrote.

In the room
From the walk-on to the fear cards and the fire pit, everyone takes part. Nobody just sits and listens.

Tools they can use
Simple steps and plain language your people can use the next day, not just a good feeling.

After they leave
Everyone leaves with a Fearless band and one next step, so the conversation keeps going.

Bellamy.
I left a career in technology consulting to work with students full time, and today most of my work is with the educators who serve them. Over the last decade I've spoken for teachers, school and district leaders, higher education teams, and the associations, nonprofits and advocates who support them, at more than 400 schools and organizations. In every room I ask people to write down one fear. More than 75,000 cards later, the lesson hasn't changed. The person next to you is carrying something too, and naming it is how you start moving through it.
Fearful to
fearing less
A high-energy keynote for the people who carry education. Before the event, your people share their fears anonymously, and the talk is built around what they wrote. Through real stories and a room that's up and moving, your staff leave with a simple way to keep going when fear, change and uncertainty show up, so they show up steadier for their students and for each other.
Name what they're carrying. Put words to the fear, worry or stress behind the hard days.
Sort what's theirs to control. Let go of what isn't and choose one small next step.
Bounce back from setbacks. Give themselves, and the people around them, room to be human.
Keep the conversation going. Use the same simple language with their team and with the people they serve.

Before the event, your people share their fears anonymously. Darryl builds the stories and examples around what they wrote.
Most keynotes run 45 to 60 minutes. The Fearing Less in Action workshop runs 45 to 75 minutes and works best right after the keynote. Half-day and multi-session formats are available for district PD days.
The keynote sets the idea. The workshop puts it to work. Many clients book both for the same day.
Those four are just the most common. RESAs and other groups that serve schools book Darryl too. If your people work with students or the educators who teach them, the keynote fits your room. Tell us about your group on the form.
Every event gets a custom quote based on your date, format and location. Use the form and you'll hear back within hours on business days.
Back-to-school kickoffs, fall conferences and PD days fill first, so most schools book 3 to 9 months out. If your date is sooner, ask anyway.
Darryl is based in Charlotte, North Carolina, and travels worldwide for schools, districts and conferences.
If you're looking for a pure entertainer or a generic motivational talk, Darryl isn't the guy. His work is for meeting and event professionals who want their people to leave with a process, not just a feeling.
