MORE THAN A "KEYNOTE SPEECH" IT'S A TRANSFORMATIONAL EXPERIENCE

"Being a part of a fraternity or sorority isn't getting any easier, with campuses scrutinizing our purpose and negative news stories appearing more frequently.

I guide members in staying true to their values while holding others accountable, even in the face of discomfort.

Together, we navigate these challenges and work towards ensuring the longevity of Greek life for generations to come."

I fear I miss out on my social experience and ruin relationships if I take a leadership position.

I fear that I won't be accepted for my true goals and aspirations and that I won't be able to use my voice because I'm scared of what others will think.

I fear that I won’t reach the level of success I hope that i will - that will let myself and others down

I fear that no mattter what I do, it won't be enough to make a difference because of the toxicity.

I fear loneliness even though I have sisters who I know care about me.

I fear that things to do will outpace my ability to keep up, leaving me always one step behind.

GREEK LEADER TURNED INTERNATIONAL SPEAKER.

Involved student turned fearful movement leader

Darryl Bellamy Jr.
As a leader holding three positions as a brother of Kappa Alph Psi and collecting thousands of fears from greek students, I understands the struggles within greek communities.

I've worked with thousands of students on multiple campuses during leadership conferences, Greek Weeks, and other programs. I've keynoted main stage at AFLV, NGLA, SEIFC (now, SGLA), and national conferences for Fraternity and Sororities.

I was awarded the Brother of The Year Award by the Charlotte Alumni Chapter, Ten under Ten awards by his Alma Mater, and the 30 under 30 award by the Charlotte Black Chamber of Commerce. I look forward to working with your community!

Leadership Conferences, Harm Reduction, Greek Week and more- Darryl has you covered with a custom engaging message!

THRILLING

This was the fourth event in which Darryl served as a keynote speaker (two in-person and two virtual). He was a thrilling in-person speaker, and we were absolutely floored at his ability to engage participants virtually as well. Darryl continues to evolve his delivery each time, making the most of in-person and online events.

RELATABLE

He made the event feel like it was one of our friends just talking to us about facing our fears and being a leader. This caused event-goers to really open up more.

LAUGHING & SINGING

Darryl is high energy and one of the most engaging speakers I have ever seen. He had our students laughing, singing, snapping and sharing real fears. I have heard nothing but positive responses from our students since and I see them wearing their fearless bracelets around!

GREAT TAKAWAYS

Darryl kept our students incredibly engaged in the virtual space - to the point that our chat was so supportive for other students and their recognition that it had issues loading! Our students are still talking about so many great takeaways even though the program has ended.

Darryl's experience spans a diverse range of colleges and universities, including public, private, traditional, community, and technical institutions of all sizes. Additionally, he has collaborated with multiple student-serving companies and organizations.

Real success from GREEK students and leaders

Hard Conversations

My organization has our formal this weekend, and to be honest, my big has been treating me like crap (not including me in family plans, taking me out of our table, not talking to me in days). Last night after you spoke to us, I realized that my fear of ruining her last week as an active member doesn’t give her the right not to uphold our values or put me down. I just texted her sharing my feelings and am hoping that we can make a change without ruining the time we have left together on campus. Never in a million years would I think I would be the type to initiate a conversation/confrontation, but now I know I’m fearless.

Sorority member finds peace and legacy

I just wanted to send you another note! Finally finding peace with graduating. Just won Outstanding Senior Leader for Greek Life and Top 10 Outstanding Senior Leader for my university, and the F/S council on which I am president won awards in diversity and inclusion. Leaving my university’s GL better than I found it, and that was the goal. Thanks for helping me find peace in what I’ve done and not fear what I didn’t get to do.

Greek member finds power in voice

Today I was in my organization's meeting and as many meetings before I had something to say, but didn't want to challenge others who might have different opinions. I looked down at my fearless bracelet and took the first "STEP" of raising my hand to voice my opinion. More people agreed with me than I would have ever imagined. Let the fearless life begin..haha.

Fraternity member runs for office, and remains positive

Last week I learned a lot, and it helped me get the courage to run for Academic Chair of my fraternity and give a speech in front of everyone. It was not easy getting up there, and I ended up losing by two votes. Reminded me of your situation and I was able to keep a positive attitude afterward.
